Going to Kinkaku-ji recently in late spring was a feast for the eyes. Although the cherry blossom season was running at its end, there was still beauty in the landscape. Although it was winter when we visited the garden, it was obvious that a warmer climate, such as spring or autumn, would have been a better time to visit.
